The palace in Czernica was built in 1543 as a result of the reconstruction of the castle that had previously existed in this place, belonging to the knights von Langenof. The new building was a three-winged Renaissance manor house surrounded by a moat. In 1858 the building was significantly damaged. During the reconstruction, the fortifications were removed, and the manor itself was rebuilt again, giving it a Neo-Renaissance style reminiscent of French castles on the Loire. In 1911, a massive, semicircular tower with a conical roof was built in the north-western corner. Until 1945, the palace was in the hands of the von Klitzing family, which at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries made the last reconstruction and modernization of the seat. The main entrance was added and electrical and central heating installations were installed. After the war, the facility was taken over by the District Fuel Trade Company in Wrocław, then it was used by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
